Betters selected for GE Research Innovate Event

GE Research in Niskayuna, NY has selected Emma Betters for their Innovate Event, April 7-9, 2019. During the three-day event, GE will host top female and underrepresented minority graduate students from several universities. The goal is to give students the opportunity to learn and network with other top academic talent and accomplished professionals in a realistic, industrial setting. Travel, accommodations, and meals will be provided by GE Research. Through this university/industry partnership GE will deliver their technology story to a diverse graduate population and provide a better understanding of available industrial career paths. In addition, students will have the chance to witness first-hand how their graduate training can lead to exciting cross-disciplinary technical careers.

Emma Betters is a MS in Mechanical Engineering student at UNC Charlotte working under the supervision of Professor Tony Schmitz.
